I'm Lucas. I have spent ten years building products, teams, and companies from the inside.
I started at Wing in 2016, then joined Forest Admin as one of the first engineers in 2017. After that I led Trust, Safety & Identity work at Yubo. In 2021 I co-founded Voggt as CTO, a live-commerce marketplace. I led product, engineering, and data from MVP through Seed and Series A, built the organisation to 25 people inside a 100-person company, and expanded across seven European markets. Fanatics Live acquired Voggt in 2024.
I'm now VP of Engineering at Veezu, leading organisation, delivery, and platform strategy for a UK-wide, multi-brand business serving 25m+ rides.
On the side, I write and occasionally work with founders on the parts of company building that get messy fast: hiring, product judgement, architecture, process, and data.
Most of the thinking ends up on my Substack newsletter Building Forward. No polished manuals, mostly lessons from the work while it is happening.

What I keep coming back to
A few things I have learned from building teams, products, and companies.
- 01
Make the problem plain
Most work slows down when the words get vague. I like naming the trade-off, the owner, and what would change our mind.
- 02
Stay close to the work
Advice is better when it comes from real constraints: code, hiring, customers, incidents, and messy meetings.
- 03
Ship something real
I trust small things in users' hands more than a perfect story in a deck.
- 04
Write it down
Writing makes weak thinking visible. If a decision is hard to explain, it probably is not clear enough yet.
Writing
Open to exceptional conversations.
Leadership, collaboration, or a difficult scaling problem. Send the context.
